Creating Healthier Horses and Relationships

Equine Management & Horsemanship Coaching

Kelly has dedicated her life to helping humans truly understand their equine partners. Equine ethology should be the base of all horse management. Her work blends deep knowledge of horse psychology with extensive observation of equine behavior in both wild and domesticated environments. Through this research and real-world experience, Kelly developed a comprehensive program designed to improve the well-being, communication, and safety of both horses and their caretakers.

Kelly specializes in supporting horse owners who are navigating behavioral challenges—whether the issues are dangerous, confusing, or interfering with riding, training, or everyday handling. Her approach addresses the root causes of unwanted behavior, helping horse-and-human pairs restore trust, confidence, and harmony.

For new horse owners, Kelly provides patient, practical guidance in the fundamentals of responsible horse ownership. This includes horsemanship basics, tack and equipment selection, safety practices, essential medical supplies, feeding and nutrition programs, and even support with horse shopping to ensure the best possible match.

Kelly’s mission is simple: to empower people with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to create safer, healthier, and more connected relationships with their horses.

Kelly’s methodology is rooted in a simple but powerful truth: horses exist as independent, sentient beings with their own physical, emotional, and relational needs. When we choose to bring horses into our lives, it becomes our responsibility to understand and meet those needs with respect and awareness. Because horses are hard-wired for healthy, cooperative relationships, they naturally thrive when we learn to listen, observe, and step out of our ego-driven assumptions.

Equine Wellness Touch Practitioner

What is Equine Wellness Touch?

Equine Wellness Touch is a simple, light touch application that helps a horse be in coherence—the natural resting state of an open, calm heart. We humans can also achieve coherence, as our horses do, and EWT helps us all get there!

EWT is a powerful tool that can be used to create calm and receptivity in almost any circumstance with a horse—-before a vet or farrier visit, for example, or prior to hauling, showing, grooming or any kind of riding, or any type of additional bodywork.

EWT is a trust-building tool that becomes a foundation for everything you wish to accomplish with your horse.

A calm, focused, and trusting horse is a more flexible, cooperative, and resilient partner with its human.

EWT is a path to wellness—-that state of well-being and calm energy that creates the opportunity for happiness.

What it is NOT: EWT is not chiropractic. It is not osteopathy. It does not correct or address subluxations, the holy grail of the chiropractic adjustment.
